Network Dashboard

background
This project began as an all-in-one network dashboard product that could address use cases from NOC Engineers to Customer Service Reps to on-site technicians. The goal was to create an intuitive workflow that anyone from any educational background could use. It needed to be scalable but also reduce the amount of time users actually spent ‘using’ it so they could move to address the actual problem.
Process
I spent 6 weeks working with the main stakeholder for this project in one-on-one meetings categorizing all of the features that were must haves. We looked at competitors products, took note of what they did well, and determined which features were necessary to stay competitive. This process also included white boarding sessions where we plotted out the future look and feel of the software.
After this process, I went straight to high fidelity drawings. We wanted to present drawings that were as close to final as we could to design and development teams. These drawings are the result of close to 10 weeks of work.
